Black Lace Top And Leopard Flats

I have cute and easy look to share with you today.  This outfit could be worn not only Spring but in early Fall.  I have always worn black in every season, and I love how we have seen more pastel colors this winter.  Being able to carry pieces of your wardrobe from one season to the next helps out so much when you are shopping within a budget!

My shirt has pretty lace detail around the shoulders and down the side.  It is see through so I wear a solid black tank underneath.  It is vintage.  In other words, I bought it a couple of years ago. LOL  I found a really pretty top at Loft that has a lace neckline.  This cut top from Kohl’s is another option.

My jeans are from American Eagle.  I know that is a store geared towards teenagers, but their jeans fit me well.  It seems it’s getting harder and harder for me to find a good fitting pair of jeans.  When I find a brand that fits well, I usually buy multiple styles.

My cute shoes are from Kohl’s.  They are comfortable, but I think mine would be more comfortable if I had gone up a size.  I don’t know why I didn’t notice this when I tried them on in the store.  Even though I bought my normal size, my toes are hitting the end.  I suggest trying a size larger than you normally wear if you order these shoes.  My black leather bracelet is also vintage, but I have linked another cute one that would work with this outfit.

I will be so glad when I can find some time to get outside and take photos.  It seems like either the weather is not cooperating, my husband is unavailable, or I am not ready to go on location.  My husband jokes that I need to learn some different poses for the photos, so I tried to change it up a little today.  Oh well, I will keep trying.

I hope all you beautiful ladies have a wonderful weekend!

Putting God Above All Others

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:12

Yesterday, I talked about making spending time with God a priority each day.  I mentioned how women are typically caregivers.  We tend to put taking care of others needs above our own, but our relationship with God should come before anyone else.

I know for myself it is so easy to put my relationship with my children and my husband above my relationship with God.  Of course, God gave me my family to be a source of comfort and inspiration.  God gives us a family for support, and he can speak to us through our family.  Yet, God should be who we turn to first for comfort, inspiration, and support.  He is the only one who can truly save us through his Son Jesus Christ.

I look up to my husband and admire him so much.  He is my best friend.  He loves me deeply and wants what is best for me.  I know I can turn to him with anything.  Knowing all of this makes it so hard when we get into a fight.  This person that I admire so much also sometimes  disappoints me, makes a mistake, or lets me down.  I know that I also disappoint him or let him down.  This also happens with our parents or close friends.  Yet when I put it all in perspective, we humans are going to let each other down or disappoint.  The only one who will never disappoint us is Christ.  His love for us is perfect.

Lets work on making Christ truly the head of our lives before anyone else.
