I am styling a Lauren Conrad top from Kohl’s and sharing about really trusting God in today’s post. I hope you all are healthy and well today. My husband came down with a bad cold over the weekend. We had been doing so well this past winter with no major illnesses. I am really hoping my son and I don’t get it!
This pretty floral top has a ruffle down each side in front and ties in the back. The long sleeves make it nice on a cooler day.
My white jeans are from Gap. You will be seeing me wear them a lot from here on out! White jeans are a staple in my in my wardrobe. These Sugar sandals will also make many appearances. Aren’t they cute! I ran across them while out shopping this past weekend. In fact, I picked up two pairs of shoes for the price of one! These shoes I couldn’t find online, but I am linking a similar Sugar style that I think are really cute also.
I am also wearing a pearl bracelet that is pretty much my go to bracelet lately. It was a gift from my mother-in-law. I just love it, and it goes with everything! Here is a similar one.
When I link similar items to what I am wearing, I will try to find several options in different price ranges as everyone’s budget is different. I am also going to write a post in the near future on shopping within a budget. Please let me know in the comments section below what you would like to see more of here on the blog.

Always Trust God
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
I want to talk about trusting God today. I want to start by asking a few questions so we can do some soul-searching on this topic.
Do we really trust him with every area of our lives? Do we think he can provide for our needs? Do we think he can really change lives? Do we believe in his promises?
Let’s start with the first couple of questions. As I have stated before here on the blog, I am a huge worrier. When I start to worry about anything in my life, I have to ask myself if I am trusting God to provide for the need. Am I trusting him with my health, my finances, and my relationships? I have been guilty of not giving it all to God, and instead trying to control the situations myself. I don’t know about you, but I can tell such a difference when I go to God first with anything that bothers me and when I don’t. There is a real difference in how I handle the problem and my stress levels. God gives me more wisdom in solving problems when I let him lead me. When I don’t go to him, I often mess it up and don’t think things through wisely.
Next, let’s look at whether we think God can really change lives. I have to say I have been really guilty of not believing God can. I have given up on someone I think is lost beyond hope. I have given up on people who I think are lost to a drug problems, alcohol problems and are beyond healing. I have given up on broken relationships. I have given up on people who are determined to believe God doesn’t exist. I am just so thankful that our God never gives up on any of us. I realize I don’t need to either. I don’t need to give up on being a friend to them or lifting them up to our God who can change lives.
Last, do we really believe in God’s promises to us. Do we believe he going to do what he says he will do? Each week as I get ready to write this blog, I worry that I will have nothing to say. I worry he won’t give me words to write here. Yet, I still hear him telling me to keep going and keep writing. I have to trust him that he will enable me to do what he wants me to do. Are you trusting God to take care of you, change lives around you, and keep his promises? I want to encourage you to keep believing and trusting him.
