The key to building a wardrobe that works year-round is investing in pieces that will carry from one season to another. So, in this Wear Now | Wear Later: 3 Outfit Ideas post, I’m bridging the gap between summer and fall. I picked three versatile items and styled each two different ways. One look you can wear now for summer, and the other you can wear this fall.

The first item is a dress is you could wear three seasons – spring, summer, and fall. Actually, all three featured items could easily take you through three seasons.
This Ann Taylor shirt dress that comes in petite and regular sizing hits right above the knee. It’s a great dress for ladies who like something with sleeves in the warmer months. The first outfit idea has a beachy theme. The threaded conch earrings feature cute pearl details. And the raffia fish clutch is just adorable and fun to carry.
You can also easily wear this dress in the fall with chocolate brown which is very on trend. Depending on the weather, wear it with this chocolate brown slide or suede Mary Jane shoe. I also love this scarf that ties in the two colors.
Next, I’m styling a soft neutral sweater two different ways.
This cotton cashmere sweater from Quince has a relaxed fit and is lightweight enough to wear now. It’s one of Quince’s top sellers with over 18,000 five-star reviews. This sweater is also priced modestly at just under $40. I paired it to wear now with a white skirt and sandals also from Quince.
In the fall, this sweater paired with Quince’s Bella Straight Jeans and their water-repellent suede clogs makes a great everyday casual look.
With this last outfit idea, I’m featuring a cap sleeve blouse with pretty lace detail.
This Wit & Wisdom button up blouse comes in several other colors that would be pretty to wear now or in the fall. I love how the golden sugar color coordinates with the rope tie on these cute, cute denim shorts. Sometimes, it’s all about the details!
For fall, wear it with these Wit & Wisdom pants (petite and regular sizes available) that have the same rope tie. I added a couple of fall jackets (find links to them in the shopping widget below) plus Blondo loafers. Recently, I received these Blondo loafers in taupe, and they are very comfortable. I think they will be a great, versatile loafer to wear this fall.

Sometimes, it’s difficult to go to sleep in peace. We may feel stressed or worried, alone or afraid. Our minds sometimes are filled with to do lists and the busyness of everyday life. However, handing all our cares over to the Lord will help us find true peace and rest. What’s bothering you lately or keeping you up at night? Give it to God for we find our safety in Him.
