The Right Foundation for Your Outfit

Today, I’m talking about underwear! Don’t worry, I’m not modeling it. Ha! Since this is a fashion blog, I think it’s something worth mentioning! After all, it can set the foundation for your outfit. If that foundation doesn’t fit right, is uncomfortable, not smooth, or the wrong color, it will show through your outfit!

Here is the underwear I’ve been wearing and loving for several years now.

Bra

I buy the majority of my underwear in a traditional nude color. It just makes everything so much easier, especially in the summer when wearing lots of white and thinner fabrics! Sometimes, a brand will have two nude colors – a lighter one and darker one. I always get the darker tan shade, because it doesn’t show through clothing. Even if you have lighter skin like I do, the lighter shade will tend to show more!

Demi Bra | Full Coverage Bra

I have both this demi cup bra and this full coverage bra in the same size. I wear both but personally prefer the full coverage one. If you have a bigger chest, the cups fit better in the full coverage size.

Speaking of bra sizes, it’s been said that many women are wearing the wrong bra size. I highly recommend getting fitted when shopping for one to find the right size. I used to not want to take the time to do it and was a little embarrassed! I’ve since been fitted several times after losing/gaining weight and breast reconstruction. It was so worth it to make sure I was getting the right size!

I love these panties! They are so comfortable and don’t show any lines. They do have a silicone strip along the edge that holds them in place. I wasn’t sure as to how I would like that when I first tried these. Let me tell you that I do not notice it at all!

I think these panties are a popular choice to wear when exercising, but they are my everyday go to underwear!

Slip Shorts

I want to also mention these Slip Shorts. I honestly don’t wear a slip if I can help it! Please don’t judge me for those of you who always do. Yet, I certainly want something under lighter unlined dresses, so there is no see through. Also, sometimes, a fabric is just not very forgiving for some of my body rolls!

That’s where these slip shorts have been a lifesaver! Even though they are not tight or made to suck you in like spanx, they really smooth things out comfortably!
