Your perfect glow starts here. The right blush doesn’t just add color but gives you a radiant finish. After trying countless formulas and colors, I’ve finally found my favorite blushes. And I’m sharing the goodies with you today.
I did not even use blush until I entered my forties. My face was always so red from rosacea! I found a few products to calm down the flushing. However, that and makeup never completely covered my redness. So, I couldn’t imagine layering blush on top of already rosy cheeks.
As I got older, things shifted. Luckily, the bright redness faded. Then, I noticed just how pale and washed out my fair skin looked with no color on my cheeks. Ha! So, I went on a mission to find the perfect blush for a natural glow.
Finding the right color was a challenge. Knowing your skin undertones helps. My skin undertone is cool, and I personally love pink. In fact, I’m always searching for that “perfect pink color.” The blushes I’m loving right now not only come in some wonderful pink shades but a variety of great shades for different skin undertones. Plus, I love the natural glow each one of these provide.

My Favorite Blushes for a Natural Glow
Yves Saint Laurent Blush – I just recently discovered this bold blurring powder blush. It’s quickly become a new favorite! The color payoff is extraordinary. It’s very buildable. I have to be careful with it, because I tend to be heavy-handed when applying blush. I’m not sure if it’s due to my skin being so fair or that I’m used to having very rosy cheeks from rosacea?! This blush gives you a very velvety matte finish that’s truly beautiful.
Milani Baked Blush – This is a wonderful drugstore brand if you need a good budget-friendly blush. The color dolce pink has been my “perfect pink” for years. However, it looks like they’ve expanded their color lineup. I’m really interested in trying out the color pink panna cotta. This Italian baked blush is multidimensional in the best way! It has little sheen but nothing too over the top. Therefore, it works as a highlighter and blush all-in-one product.
Clinique Chubby Sticks – This is the only blush I own not in a true pink color. Instead, I use the Roly Poly Rosy color. And just as the name suggests, it’s a deeper rose color. Normally, I don’t go for darker blushes. Yet, this color comes as close as any can get to my natural flush. So, if my rosacea is ever flaring up (thank you hot flashes), then this color blends in beautifully. Plus, once everything has calmed down, this color is still there. It has great staying power. You can literally draw this blush where you want it. Then, blend it with a brush or your fingertips. This line of blushes used to have limited color options. But now, there are many more choices, and the poppin’ pink color looks really pretty too.
Dressed in Faith
We just celebrated our risen Savior. What a joyous occasion it is now just as it was then right after it happened. However, that joy and peace is not just to be celebrated on Easter. It’s a daily joy and peace from when we first believed. We should celebrate our Savior every day! Thank Jesus for everything you’ve done for us!
He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
Matthew 28:6
