Festive Outfits for New Year’s Eve

Whether you have party plans or not for New Year’s Eve, it’s always fun to dress in something festive! The tops featured in these festive outfits for New Year’s Eve can be mixed and matched to wear to a wide variety of events, even beyond the holiday season.

First, this gorgeous velvet top I’m wearing below can be dressed up or down. I added these pumps to elevate this casual yet festive outfit. However, I will probably wear this top most often with jeans and boots.

I’ve always loved velvet ever since I was a young girl! And this ruched velvet top will definitely be worn other times besides at Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I can see myself wearing it as it starts to cool down next fall, and it’s a great festive top to wear on Thanksgiving Day too.

I’ve ordered velvet tops in the past that were rigid and ran very small. This top is made of a “stretchy” velvet, though, and is very forgiving. I’m wearing a regular medium size and while it is flowy, I think it drapes nicely. It looks great tucked in like above or left out like in the picture below.

This velvet top comes in the color black and in the color crushed blackberry which is what I’m wearing. Both colors are still fully stocked at Loft.

This next gold top is so fun but, unfortunately, is presently sold out. It’s been a really popular item from Loft this year, and I’ve seen it restocked several times since I purchased it back in November. I can still link to it, so save this post and check back often if you’re interested in it. Hopefully, Loft will restock it once more!

This gold blouse is also very generously sized. I’m wearing a regular medium but probably could have gotten away with a small. However, I like this top so much I’m keeping it in the medium.

While certainly not see through, this blouse is on the thinner side. It’s great for overheated venues and warm climates. If you live somewhere cold though, you’ll definitely want to wear a jacket or warm coat over it when heading out the door.

While I’ve dressed this top up with black jeans and pumps, it can be worn multiple ways – with a skirt, pants, or blue jeans. I will personally wear this blouse with blue jeans and boots too. We just don’t go out that fancy as most of our events are pretty casual! Yet, I still plan to enjoy wearing it as much as I can during the holiday season!

In case you may be wondering, I’ve washed both these festive tops once in the washing machine on delicate. So far, both have held up beautifully which is what I expect and like about shopping at Loft!
